The Company
VIApass operates and monitors network infrastructures for high-demand sites: events, conventions, and public venues. At the **Palais des Festivals**, the goal is to ensure **reliable**, **secure**, and **readable** connectivity despite significant traffic peaks.
- Multi-zone LAN / WLAN (public, exhibitors, staff, press)
- Availability & QoS; segmentation (VLAN), access control
- Monitoring, local support, on-site coordination
The Environment & Audiences
The Palais aggregates spaces with very different profiles (trade shows, meeting rooms, press areas, halls, booths). Expectations vary: *stability* for ticketing, *throughput* for the press, *simplicity* for the public, and *agility* for the exhibitors.
- Constraints: short deadlines, mobility of booths, Wi-Fi density, wired/Wi-Fi coexistence.
- Rhythm: setup phases, public opening, dismantling — very different load profiles.
- Quality of Service: clear visibility into sensitive areas and rapid incident response.
Internship Context & Objectives
- Standardize and make **maps** actionable (legends, naming, "public" views).
- Improve **monitoring**: useful indicators, contextualized thresholds, "event" view.
- Participate in local **support** (rapid diagnosis, escalation, concise post-mortem).
- Strengthen **field communication ↔ NOC** to accelerate decision-making.
